The castle ruins on the rocky ridge in the forester´s district of Mlaka, founded by the Rožmberk dynasty in 1355, is the dominant of the landscape visible from far away. The castle became devastated at the end of the 16th cent. From the adapted tower there is the beautiful view of the vast countryside.The huge castle area is in charge of the town of Bavorov.
